Dr. Çimen brings 25 years of hands-on experience across construction, corporate real estate, and facilities management, having led programmes in Turkey, the Middle East, Central Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and South-East Asia. He currently serves as Regional Real Estate Project Manager at World Bank Group / IFC, managing a global office portfolio across multiple regions.
As Deputy General Manager at Teknopark Istanbul — Europe's largest science park — he oversaw a 375% growth in built area while reducing construction costs by 24% and increasing lease income by 26%. He is the inventor of the Circular Development Score and holds a PhD in Management Engineering focused on circular economy in the built environment.
